Faiz Jan updated the status of Rideau Students' Union
The union is now growing and at a rather fast pace. In the last day alone, the union gained 25 members and we expect this to continue. As growth continues, the union has also experienced surge in active members trying to engage in discussion. 5 committees have been formed to focus on different issues, still with a primary focus on a Post-Pandemic Transition Policy to share with governments. With growth occurring rapidly and policy creation doing the same, we must now continue this momentum while also starting to look at legislative impacts. The RSU will soon release some basic policy, including a constitution among other things, which should help to engage more people and grab the attention of policy makers. Until then, we will continue to pursue our current course of action. A blog should be posted soon with new links and info.

New update: We have launched. We are now recruiting members for the union, we have a website set up though it will be moved to a more professional space when we have the resources for it. The union has 4 leaders, the President, the Media Officer, the Outreach Officer and the Policy Officer. That team has been collected and over the next few weeks, each member will start working on their designated task. We have a three step plan in place: Expansion Recognition Legislation Using this model, we will work together to expand rapidly.

Faiz Jan updated the status of Rideau Students' Union
Right now, I am working to gain some members for the union in order to get things done more effectively. Come December, we will be able to tackle more to do. Our plan for success composes of 3 steps; 1. Grow the Union 2. Create a Manifesto and a Primary Piece of Legislation 3. Reach out to the Municipal Legislature to see due process I currently have no group members, so if you want to join me, feel free to let me know.
