We are considering beginning a zero-waste environmental website/app that would include: a. information: ideas on how to reuse/repurpose materials and items, a search bar for stores nearby that have recycling centers or who are more environmentally conscious b. gamification for holidays and major events: a point system with an interactive component for people to create profiles, posts/discussions about creative and innovative ways in which to decrease their carbon footprint (rewards, ratings) c. indigenous community aid: information on partnerships, where to drop off used textbooks/notebooks for schools/indigenous peoples with less access d. social platform for students in ottawa-gatineau area to connect with students in isolated indigenous communities and to share sustainability practices etc.
