An app targeted for Youth 15-24 that will act as an information hub for the Youth in the Ottawa Community. In this app, the youth will be able to search for mental health services, food shelters, employment services, youth programs, and more.
The goal of the app is to:
1. Partner with different organizations in the Ottawa community and direct youth to all the services available in the community.
2. Work with organizations to create virtual programs for Youth as a response to COVID-19
3. Create a space where Youth can share innovative ideas, and make a change in the lives of others, and in their community
Objective: Connecting youth to the community, and connecting youth with other youth to enhance access to resources, reduce inequalities, and create partnerships.
Reason for the project: Due to COvID-19 many youths in my community lack access to resources such as a safe space, food, employment services, access to community and mental health programs, and a lack of awareness about the existing services. This app aims to fill the information gap and bring awareness to existing programs and create virtual ones in response to COVID-19 with the help of organizations in Ottawa and from Youth themselves.
