This initiative is to provide tutoring sessions to low income families. I am targeting high school students; students who do not have the funds for private tutoring sessions and students who need volunteer hours and are willing to tutor other students. In order to keep the cost low for this initiative, I would be looking for high school students who need volunteer hours to tutor other students. There would be an eligibility quiz for both tutors and tutee to ensure that the tutor is reliable and that we are prioritizing low income students for this service. At the start, I would organize virtual meetings for the two students, ideally over ZOOM, so I would be able to monitor or check in if there are any issues in their session.
