Lisgar Compost Crew is a student-led composting initiative at Lisgar Collegiate Institute. Students are responsible for collecting bins, washing them out and leaving them on the curb for the city to collect. Over half of Lisgar's waste is compostable, but the addition of a green bin program would put extra stress on the school's already overworked custodial staff. Lisgar Compost Crew hopes to foster community involvement, environmental awareness and appreciation for custodial staff in our student body, all while doing our bit to help the planet!
